Jamaica's
multilingual gateway
to the world.
📅 New season coming Summer 2026. Follow along while we line it up.

Milestones
One of the Caribbean's fastest growing communities with a unique focus on multicultural social networking.

Out of many languages, one community.
We're a pop-up language exchange where Jamaican locals, expats, students, travellers and more convene to practise languages face-to-face — no apps, no looming assignments, no pressure to sound perfect, just good conversation and great company. A unique multilingual movement, right here in Jamaica.
This is the ideal community for visitors to Jamaica who would like to exchange languages with locals; people who crave collecting experiences, not souvenirs; the language learner who's tired of online apps and boring language classes; the globally minded citizen who is looking for interesting ways to meet new people while developing a new skill or maintaining the languages you have already acquired.
Introducing, our very own conversation cards.
Our custom conversation cards are there if you want them — each one a prompt to get you past “hello.” Draw one in the language you're practising and let it carry the chat, or set them aside and freestyle. They're rated from beginner to advanced, so the table never has to go quiet — but they're a helping hand, never a requirement.

Milton Foster
Milton is a trained audio professional, self-taught polyglot, and filmmaker based in Kingston. Fluent in English, Jamaican Patois, Portuguese (C2), Spanish (C2), and French (B1), he has spent more than ten years learning languages through online resources, travelling to Latin America and participating in both online and offline language exchanges. His multimedia content under the moniker "The Jamaican Polyglot" sits at the crossroads of language, sound, and Caribbean identity. Language Link Up began as a passion project to keep his own language learning passion alive outside of his work in media, while fostering the same kinds of communities he has witnessed in his multilingual travels.
"Something that started off as such a small idea in Kingston, has grown into a community and a movement that far exceeds what I could have ever imagined in the beginning."

Social Media Personality of the Year — Judge's Pick.
Milton was honoured at the Best of Jamaica Awards for championing languages and culture online — and the Language Link Up community was a huge part of that story. Backing Language Link Up means backing an award-winning movement that's already on the map.

No two link ups are quite the same.
The event revolves around our conversation tables that are grouped by language, and split into proficiency levels when the crowd's big enough. But each time we meet, we mix it up with various theme nights and activities to keep language learning engaging, and to vividly explore the cultures of the world with those in attendance.
Come as you are
Walk in, grab a name tag, and tell us which languages you're practising..
